Founded by Angie Ma in Melbourne a decade ago, this experience encourages mingling by allowing just two seats per booking, so you have no option but to share your meal. And, there's no fixed theme; every quarterly dinner presents a fresh concept. As we mentioned, there's no permanent location or chef; instead, volunteer hosts lend their homes, and specialist cooks cater to the theme.

Cloud Nine

Helmed by former Burnt Ends alumni David Low, Cloud Nine is a chic and cosy little space that is wildly different from its nondescript industrial surroundings. Besides being a total hidden gem (and a little hard to find, but that adds to the charm), David is a pro at whipping up a myriad of global flavours that he skilfully adapts to each diner’s taste buds. As you tuck into some seriously delicious fare here, check out the hand-carved cloud lights, a nod to David’s wabi-sabi sensibilities.

Kolabo

Kolabo is a unique private dining spot that features a rotating lineup of experienced chefs, including well-known names like Lester Bongsy, Angus Chow, and Jeremy Tan (Sushi Tan). At Kolabo, collaboration is key, and each chef brings their own twist to the menu. While you can't predict the exact menu, Japanese cuisine heavily influences the dishes. Some chefs specialise in sashimi, while others get creative with items like lime-infused chawanmushi and duck prosciutto. For sushi lovers, Sushi Tan offers a 16-course omakase with a focus on seafood. Expect a delightful surprise with every visit.
